Last month the FDA announced it was withdrawing approval of the drug Avastin for treatment of late stage breast cancer. It’s a decision that some breast cancer advocacy organizations agree with, and that other’s don’t. The Southern California NPR-affiliate station, KPCC, invited me to be a guest on their show to discuss the FDA’s decision and its impact on the breast cancer community.
